Not sure which line you could still read? That is what the test is for. Twenty minutes, and you go home with your prescription on paper whether or not you buy anything.
Leave a number and we ring you back to agree a time.
Six signs it is time for a test
Any one of these is worth twenty minutes. Most come on slowly enough that people put up with them for years.
- Headaches after a screen
- Holding your phone further away
- Squinting at road signs
- Tired or watering eyes
- Small print is a struggle
- Blur by the end of the day
Most of the work is not choosing a frame.
The eye test
Distance and near, both eyes, pressure checked when it is worth checking. The result is written down and explained, not read out at you.
Choosing frames
Shape, bridge width and temple length, against your own face. The frame that suits you is rarely the one on the poster.
Lenses
Single vision, bifocal or progressive, with the coatings that are worth paying for and honesty about the ones that are not. Some go out the same day; you are told which before you pay.
Fitting, and after
Adjusted when you collect them, and adjusted again whenever they slip. No charge, and no end date on that.
Which of these two is clearer?
The duochrome test, and about seven other things, inside twenty minutes. You leave with the numbers on paper whether or not you buy anything.
- Distance and nearBoth eyes, each on its own and then together.
- Health, not just focusPressure and the back of the eye when there is a reason to look.
- Written downYour prescription, yours to take anywhere.
What is on the shelves
We are photographing the collection at the moment. Until it is up here the shelves are the only honest way to see it, so come and have a look.
2 shops
No appointment needed to look at frames. For a test it is worth booking, so somebody is free when you arrive.
